The Fault in Our Stars

"They say life doesn't have to be perfect, for love to be extraordinary."

As we all know, August is fast approaching, which means that TFIOS the movie will be coming to our theatres really soon! ((I would like to set aside the fact that my birthday is on August, too.))

After constantly swiping on previous pages of Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, I became bored. I remember saying, "I need to pee, but no." I decided to read The Fault in our stars by John Green. (all hail)

At first, I thought it was some cliché love story with a happy ending, but that thought was changed when I began scanning my eyes over every finely-processed words that stood before my eyes.

The story is about seventeen-year-old Hazel Grace Lancaster who reluctantly attends a cancer support group, from her mother's constant forcing. Because of her cancer, she uses a portable oxygen tank to breathe properly.

On one of the meetings, a boy named Augustus 'Gus' Waters catches her eye. Augustus was there to support his friend, Isaac, who had a tumor in one eye. His other eye had to be removed aswell.

After the meeting ends, Gus approaches Hazel and tells her that she looks like Natalie Portman.

Long story short, ((sorry, I had to)) they become a couple and months later, Gus dies because of  his osteosarcoma (?) has spread everywhere through out his body.

This story is really fascinating, and even now I find myself re-reading it. It's very inspirational, and I hope that you guys read it aswell.
